Eric Howarth started his first practice at 206, Main Street, Bingley.

By 1959, Eric Howarth needed larger premises to cater for a growing client base and moved the practice to its present location at 158, Main Street. David Howarth took over as Principal Optometrist in 1993, Helen Howarth qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 1997 and together they expanded the practice to include the adjacent premises at 160 Main Street. A new look shopfront got 2026 off to a fine start, with a larger display area to accommodate the celebratory '75 Collection' of eye-wear.
